How The Harvest Club collects, uses and protects your information. Last updated 24 October 2026.
Who we are
This website is operated by The Harvest Club ("we", "us"). We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy. You can contact us about privacy at enquiries@theharvestclub.co.uk.
What we collect
- Information you give us in forms: your name, email address, phone number, business name, turnover band, intended timeline and anything you write in a message.
- Accounts you upload to the valuation calculator: the file is sent to our AI provider to read the figures, which are returned to your browser. We do not keep the file unless you tick the box asking us to review your accounts, in which case we store it with your request.
- Valuation calculator results: if you ask for your result by email, a summary of the figures and result with your name and email. Figures you type without sending them stay in your browser.
- Your Harvest Score: if you choose to send it to us, your answers and score. If you do not send it, your answers stay in your browser and we never see them.
- Basic technical data: our hosting provider keeps short-lived server logs, such as IP address and browser type, to run and secure the site.
We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking on this site. We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page visits. It sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device and does not identify you; it records aggregated information such as the page visited, the referring site, country and device type, and which steps of the Score and the calculator are used (for example, that a Score was finished and its band), never what you typed or who you are.
If you join an Intensive
Your workbook, your Completion Statement, your Red Lines card and the figures you work on in the room are yours. They stay with you; we do not take copies unless you ask us to review something, and then only for as long as that review needs. Any group chat we run for members is for conversation, not figures: please do not post your numbers there. With your consent we take photos during the Intensive and film two moments (the buyer panel and the Signing); you can ask to stay out of shot. We use your image, your name or your words in our marketing only if you agree to that separately, on the consent form or in writing, and for a testimonial we show you the exact words first. You can withdraw that consent at any time by emailing us: we will stop using them in anything new and remove them from our website and social media, though printed material already produced cannot be recalled. If you tell us about access needs or dietary requirements, we use that only to make the Intensive work for you, and share it only with the venue as needed. We keep your Harvest Score answers before and after the Intensive so we can show you, and report in anonymous totals, how scores change.
How we use it and our lawful basis
- To reply to your request, arrange a Harvest Call or handle your booking for an Intensive. Lawful basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries.
- To send you your Score or valuation result when you ask for it. Lawful basis: steps taken at your request.
- To send you occasional emails about preparing a business for sale, only if you tick the separate optional box. Lawful basis: consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- To keep the site secure and working. Lawful basis: legitimate interests.
- To use photos, film, your name or a testimonial in our marketing. Lawful basis: consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
We will only send you marketing emails if you have agreed to receive them, and every email will include a way to unsubscribe.
Who we share it with
We use Vercel Inc. to host this website and store form submissions, Resend to send the emails you ask for and to tell us about your enquiry, and Anthropic PBC to read accounts uploaded to the valuation calculator. Anthropic does not use this data to train its models. To stop our forms being misused, we keep a hashed record of the connection and email address used, so we can limit how often a form is sent. We use your turnover band, your timeline and whether you have been approached to decide how soon to follow up, on the basis of our legitimate interest in replying to serious enquiries. We do not sell your data. We share it with no one else unless the law requires us to. Where a supplier processes data outside the UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry, Score and valuation submissions, and any accounts you ask us to review, for up to 24 months from our last contact with you, and then delete them. If you become a member, we keep the records we need for the length of your membership and as the law requires afterwards.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, or to move it to someone else. Email enquiries@theharvestclub.co.uk and we will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
